Hey, Supergirl having her own series on CBS, created by the folks behind Arrow and The Flash no less, is great. But when is her more famous cousin Superman going to show up? Not anytime soon, folks. Producer Ari Adler tells EW...
"Our prototype is the way the president is seen on 'Veep.' It’s certainly [inspired by] so much of what Julia-Louis Dreyfus’ character goes through. Ultimately, this is a show about Supergirl and we really want to see it through her lens.”
The series stars Melissa Benoist (Whiplash) as Kara Zor-El, who escaped the exploding planet of Krypton and has been on Earth keeping her powers secret for years. But now she's ready to embrace her abilities and become the hero she was always meant to be. When she's not busy at her day job, of course. Superheroes gotta pay the rent, too.
Supergirl debuts at Comic-Con and premieres on CBS this fall.
A brand-new #Supergirl preview just when you need it the most. Let Kara save your day.
