Described as Attack the Block meets Bridesmaids meets This is the End, the female-centric comedy begins at a baby shower when the guests suddenly witness a meteor shower. But this isn't an ordinary event, as the meteors turn men into blood-hungry aliens and the women have to fight their way to safety and save the world in the process. Jac Schaeffer wrote the screenplay which ended up on the Black List, so this could be a good one.
A director still needs to be found and that will be the next step before moving ahead, but with the Oscar-winning Hathaway on board that shouldn't be an issue. [THR]
