Ronda Rousey to play herself in Biopic written by Mark Bomback

Beth Correia talked a big game, but when it came to facing down UFC champ Ronda Rousey this past weekend, she got knocked out in 34-seconds flat. Now Rousey is looking to score a knockout on Hollywood with news that her best-selling memoir, My Fight/Your Fight, has been acquired by Paramount Pictures to become a feature film. What's more, Rousey will be playing herself because what other actress could possibly fill the shoes of the baddest woman on the planet?

The report comes from Variety, who say that Rousey will star in and produce the film along with Mary Parent. And there's more top notch talent attached as Mark Bomback, writer of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and The Wolverine, has been hired to adapt the screenplay. The story will follow Rousey's meteoric rise to fame, plus her many battles inside and outside the Octagon.

Rousey, the undefeated UFC Bantamweight champion, took to Twitter to confirm the news....

"Great news - #MyFightYourFight is gunna be a movie!"

This won't be her first rodeo on the big screen. Rousey has already had a big year with roles in Furious 7 and Entourage, while she had a featured part in The Expendables 3 just last summer. She recently landed a starring role in Peter Berg's action film, Mile 22, opposite Mark Wahlberg and The Raid's Iko Uwais.
