So last night I was covering the big WWE SummerSlam PPV for Daily DDT, and while there were a number of matches I was looking forward to it was Stephen Amell's in-ring debut that had my curiosity piqued the most. Everybody already knows how crazy athletic the guy is from what he does on Arrow every week, but athleticism doesn't always translate to being a good professional wrestler. Turns out that Amell is pretty damned great in the ring, and if that whole acting thing ever falls through he's got a good career as a WWE superstar waiting for him.
Amell teamed up with "The Man Gravity Forgot" Adrian Neville to defeat the villainous duo of Stardust and "Cosmic" King Barrett, following months of feuding over social media. Amell showed impressive skills and a willingness to put his body on the line, springboarding into the ring and even throwing a cross body out onto the floor.
