All of Marvel's Netflix shows promise to be gritty and mature in different ways, and the trick is going to be keeping them all fresh. All of the ways Marvel's Jessica Jones will differ from Daredevil are brought to light here in a brief but dead-on new trailer.
Private detective Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is face down on the bed, looking like she's had a long, rough night. Empty liquor bottles are strewn about the messy bedroom floor among a pile of probably-filthy clothes. The beaming sun tells us that it's not 2:59AM, but deep into the afternoon, and when the alarm goes off Jessica ain't havin' it, putting her superhuman strength to good use.
Yeah, this is one screwed up chick with a ton of personal demons to contend with.
Jessica Jones hits Netflix on November 20th.
