The generically-titled Overdrive has had anything but a generic production up to this point. The action film has been in the works for years and the list of names attached at different times is pretty long: Alex Pettyfer, Matthew Goode, Jamie Bell, Ben Barnes, Garrett Hedlund, Karl Urban, while the most recent update saw Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke on board. Well the slate has been wiped clean and now it's Scott Eastwood (The Longest Ride) who is hopping into the driver's seat. Produced by Pierre Morel (Taken) and directed by Antonio Negret (Transit), the film centers on two handsome brothers, both car thieves, who fun afoul of a crime boss in the south of France. Next up for Eastwood is a role in DC's Suicide Squad. [THR]
