Paul Feig's 'Ghostbusters' Adds Sigourney Weaver

Should there be concern for director Paul Feig that people seem more excited over the cameos in Ghostbusters than his new cast? With Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts all confirmed to return, fans have been anxiously waiting to find out if Sigourney Weaver would be joining them, and now we know that she will.

Feig announced on Twitter (and had some sharp words which we'll get to in a minute) that Weaver had joined the cast of his Ghostbusters reboot, but don't expect her to be reprising her role of Dana Barrett. She and the other original castmembers will be playing brand new characters...or so we've been led to believe. There's a lot of speculation going around about that and any number of things regarding the film, and Feig had some choice words for those who don't have anything nice to say.

Well, there ya go. Weaver joins Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and more when Ghostbusters opens July 15th 2016.
