Lionsgate continues to go outside of the previously revealed short list in casting their upcoming Power Rangers film. Following on the heels of Naomi Scott joining as the Pink Ranger and Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, another newcomer in Ludi Lin has been cast as the Black Ranger.
Who is Ludi Lin? Beats me. He appeared in an episode of Netflix's Marco Polo series but otherwise he's another new face taking on a popular role. Chances are that trend will continue as director Dean Israelite looks to bring the franchise back to the big screen and introduce it to a new audience, while also appeasing the rabid fan base who have been following the Rangers for years.
Power Rangers opens January 13th 2017.
