While I love CW's Arrow and The Flash, this season has been hijacked by the need to promote the upcoming team-up series, DC's Legends of Tomorrow. The most recent episodes have seen the introduction of Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) and Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), the reintroduction of Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) and Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), the softening of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), the merging of a new Firestorm (Victor Garber and Franz Drameh) and the debut of ageless villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).
The latest trailer for the time-hopping series promises epic battles on top of more battles, with Vandal Savage at the center of all the trouble. The rest of the team's odd lineup includes Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter and Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave, joining the team that is destined to become legendary heroes....if they survive. Here's the synopsis:
"When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?"
DC's Legends of Tomorrow debuts on January 21st.
