Here's How Long You'll Be Sitting Through 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'

Not that there was ever any doubt, but Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will not be a short, easy walk in the park. The director rarely makes a film that is below two hours long, and most studio blockbusters nowadays go well beyond that, anyway. But now we know exactly how long we'll be watching DC's two greatest heroes clash, and it will be for 151 minutes.

That's two and a half hours of dark and gloomy superhero slugfests. For comparison, that's about eight minutes longer than Man of Steel and The Avengersand nine minutes longer than Avengers: Age of Ultron, which felt like it was four hours long. However it's shorter than Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, which clocked in at a concession stand-approved 164 minutes. Guh.

So what does this mean? Not a damn thing, really, except that you may want to get the large popcorn rather than the small. If the movie sucks, then that 151 minutes will make you weaker than Superman in a Kryptonite bath. But if it's awesome, you'll love every minute.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25th.
