New Trailer And Cool Character Posters For 'Now You See Me 2'
Now You See Me's unique concept, a bunch of illusionists pulling bank heists, was enough to carry it extremely far. It was arguably 2013's greatest sleeper hit, scoring more than $350M which is astronomical for an original project in today's market. And naturally, the result was a sequel that immediately renders that concept less unique, but Now You See Me 2 is here and so is the new trailer, along with some cool character posters.
Isla Fisher is out, replaced by Lizzy Caplan as the female member of the "Four Horsemen", along with Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Dave Franco. Daniel Radcliffe joins the cast as the son of Michael Caine's character, a tech magnate who cons the Horsemen into pulling off their toughest trick yet. Here's the synopsis:
THE FOUR HORSEMEN [Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Lizzy Caplan] return for a second mind-bending adventure, elevating the limits of stage illusion to new heights and taking them around the globe. One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, the illusionists resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than WALTER MABRY [Daniel Radcliffe], a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all. Summit Entertainment presents a K/O Paper Products production a Jon M. Chu film.
Also starring Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Jay Chou, and Sanaa Lathan, Now You See Me 2 opens June 10th.
