I don't usually care about casting for most TV shows, but this is Naomi Watts and wherever she goes I will follow...even to a series led by a director who has never done anything I've enjoyed. Watts is headed to Netflix for
Gypsy, the psychological series directed by
Fifty Shades of Grey and
Nowhere Boy's Sam Taylor-Johnson.
The 10-episode series will be written by Lisa Rubin, and stars Watts as Jean Holloway, a therapist who begins to form dangerous and intimate relationships with the people in her patients' lives. Watts has done plenty of TV in the past and has a role in the revival of
Twin Peaks from her
Mulholland Drive director, David Lynch.
Gypsy will hit Netflix in 2017.
