Daniel Radcliffe Uses His Boner Compass In 'Swiss Army Man' Red Band Trailer
There will be plenty of strange movies hitting theaters later this year, but only one promises to have a "Boner Compass". That film would be Swiss Army Man, which caused quite a stir at Sundance because it stars Daniel Radcliffe as a flatulent corpse, farting himself and Paul Dano to safety time and time again. Did it work for everybody? As you probably guessed, the film was incredibly polarizing (I sorta hated it), but that has only served to make its arrival all the more anticipated by some.
A new red band trailer offers up another look at the bro-mantic comedy, directed by The Daniels and co-starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Dano plays a lonely man stuck on a deserted island. Just as he's ready to give up on life, he discovers Radcliffe's superheroic corpse, and the most unlikely of friendships begins. If there's something to admire it would be the visual aesthetic, which recalls the works of Michel Gondry at times. Otherwise you can have this one.
Swiss Army Man opens in limited release on June 24th, then nationwide a week later.
