Jack Black May Join 'Jumanji' With Dwayne Johnson And Kevin Hart

How much star power does the Jumanji remake need? Already it see Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart reunited after their upcoming comedy, Central Intelligence. But that's not the only reunion taking place as Jack Black is in talks to join the cast, having worked with director Jake Kasdan on Orange County back in 2002.

Details on the film are slim but we can expect it to follow a board game that magically springs to life, turning a suburban neighborhood into a jungle full of wild animals and other creatures.  The late Robin Williams starred in the hit 1995 film as a man who had been trapped inside the game for two decades. Johnson  recently hit Instagram to promise Williams' memory and performane will be honored, but in what way is unclear....

"An important thing that I want to be honest and bring up is Robin Williams. The love and respect I have for this man is boundless. You have my word, we will honor his name and the character of “Alan Parrish” will stand alone and be forever immortalized in the world of JUMANJI in an earnest and cool way. I have an idea of what to do and I think his family will be proud. I also think Robin is somewhere lookin’ down and laughing, remembering the first time we met backstage and I (for the first time ever) was a star struck bumbling idiot that couldn’t even get my words out. Idiot. He literally calmed me down w/ that smile and laugh. But that’s for another fun story down the road."

Johnson, Hart, and Black? That's a formidable comic trio and should be enough to shake off any doubters. Jumanji begins filming this summer for release on July 28th 2017.  [TheWrap]
