Michael B. Jordan Joins 'Black Panther' In Possible Villain Role

Forget Batman and Robin, the real dynamic duo is Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan. The two stormed Hollywood together a few years ago with Fruitvale Station, then followed it up with Creed, a movie nobody in their right mind expected to be any good and yet it was phenomenal. And while it looked like Coogler was going to branch off into Marvel's Black Panther and direct another African-American rising star in Chadwick Boseman, he's not leaving his buddy Jordan behind.

Jordan and Coogler are reteaming for Black Panther which, frankly, is shaping up to be the most exciting Marvel project yet. This follows on the heels of Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o joining the cast in a love interest role. As for Jordan, he's rumored to be playing a villain which is interesting in itself. As for who that bad guy could be, the most obvious choice is Erik Killmonger, a strategic genius and political rival who also happens to be Panther's physical match. Jordan vs. Boseman? Yes please.

Whoever Jordan is playing expect it to be a major character, because why would Marvel waste a talent like him on a one-shot appearance? Plus, Jordan already has it good with Captain America: Civil War directors Joe & Anthony Russo who have now come aboard to produce his remake of The Thomas Crown Affair. So this is sounding like the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship, one that may put the kibosh on any hopes he'll return for a Fantastic Four sequel Black Panther hits theaters on February 2nd 2018.
