Oscar Winner Lupita Nyong'o In Talks For Marvel's 'Black Panther', But As Who?

Captain America: Civil War featured pretty much every Avenger who has ever been on screen, but what got fans truly excited were the newest arrivals. Obviously Spider-Man was one, but the other, and arguably most important, was Black Panther. The African hero's debut with Chadwick Boseman in the suit was a breath of fresh air, and now there's one more huge reason to get excited about the Wakandan king's solo movie.

Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o is in talks to join the cast, playing an unnamed love interest. Unfortunate because she would have made a kick-ass member of the Dora Milaje, Black Panther's royal guard of unbeatable ladies. Then again, she could be playing Queen Divine Justice, a former member of the Dora Milaje who struck out on her own. Black Panther's other past love interests include the singer Monica Lynne and current X-Man, Ororo Munroe aka Storm. Fat chance on it being the latter. Let's just say it would be a shame if Nyong'o isn't given the chance to be part of the action.

Black Panther will be directed by Ryan Coogler, another reason it should be amazing, and opens February 16th 2018. [THR]
