So who is going to be the next 007? It seems lately that everybody has their favorite choice, and that every actor who is mildly suave and handsome is up for it. Yesterday it was Jamie Bell who has apparently met with producers of the Bond franchise, but he's just the latest in a long line that includes Damian Lewis, Idris Elba, and another fan-favorite choice, Tom Hiddleston.
It's Hiddleston who is the subject of the latest sketchy rumor from Birth.Movies.Death, who say he's in "advanced" talks to play James Bond. Hiddleston has been pretty open about his desire to land the role and certainly this would make the fans of Marvel's Loki very happy. The site notes that an offer hasn't been made yet so who knows where this ends up going. The likelihood is that this stays simply a rumor and that many other names will pop up as the search goes on.
Here's the thing: Daniel Craig isn't done yet. Or at least, it's not confirmed that he's played Bond for the final time. He's still under contract for one more, and is likely to wait until the creative side is firmed up before making a decision. If he decides to stick around then all of this chatter would only be about the distant future.
