'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Adds Logan Marshall-Green As Villain, Martin Starr In Mystery Role

With filming set to begin later this summer, Marvel isn't wasting any time casting up next year's Spider-Man: Homecoming. Over the last few days we've seen Kenneth Choi, Michael Barbieri, and Donald Glover all board the relaunched Spidey franchise starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker. And now there are two more big additions as Logan Marshall-Green and Martin Starr have joined in on the action.

THR reports Marshall-Green has signed on for a villain role, meaning he'll likely be teaming up with Michael Keaton who is assumed to be The Vulture. A rumor last month also suggested we could see the villainous inventor known as The Tinkerer, and some are assuming this to be Marshall-Green's role. However, it seems like a part better suited to Starr, whose signing was confirmed by Deadline. Starr currently has a lead role on HBO's Silicon Valley and is best known for his roles on Freaks and Geeks, Party Down, and Adventureland.  Marshall-Green is the Tom Hardy lookalike who had a role in Prometheus and Karyn Kusama's thriller, The Invitation.

So let the speculation continue until we know something concrete. Directed by Jon Watts and co-starring Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya, Tony Revolori, and Laura Harrier, Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7th 2017.
