Iris West Role In 'The Flash' Officially Goes To Kiersey Clemons
It's probably a good idea not to ever bet against Kiersey Clemons at this point. The Dope breakout has been on a roll ever since, landing numerous TV roles while appearing in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and securing the Flatliners remake. Just weeks ago she was named as the frontrunner to play Iris West in Warner Bros.' The Flash movie, and the gig is now hers.
Clemons beat out Rita Ora and Lucy Boynton for the role, which will find her joining star Ezra Miller who is suiting up as Barry Allen. It's expected that Iris will make a brief cameo in Justice League, as well. Sorry, fans of CW's TV series who may have been hoping Candice Patton would make the big screen leap; it ain't workin' out for ya.
This officially reunites Clemons with Dope director, Rick Famuyiwa, making them quite the power duo. Catch a glimpse of the Flash in the Justice League trailer released over the weekend. [Variety]
