Trailer For Jonathan Demme's Concert Film 'Justin Timberlake And The Tennessee Kids'
You couldn't pay me to attend a Justin Timberlake concert. Sorry, I just have no interest. But a Justin Timberlake concert movie directed by Jonathan Demme? That I could easily sign up for, and Netflix hopes Justin Timberlake and the Tennessee Kids leads to a lot of people signing up for the streaming service.
Netflix has acquired the rights to the concert movie just prior to its premiere at TIFF, and have released the first trailer. The film chronicles the final night of Timberlake's epic two-year 20/20 Experience World Tour at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and as you might expect it was a showstopper of a performance.
This is familiar territory for Demme who directed concert movies Neil Young: Heart of Gold and Talking Heads' Stop Making Sense, both legitimately great. So chances are this might be too. The film hits Netflix on October 12th.
