Thanks to those darn internets (already reported leaking the trailer), Fox pulled the trigger and released the official trailer for their final appearance of Hugh Jackman as their franchise character Wolverine in his final film, Logan. The film hits theaters March 3, 2017, and will feature Jackman as well as Patrick Stewart, reprising his role as profession Charles Xavier as well. Jackman reunites with The Wolverine director James Mangold for his final film before he hangs up his claws. Take a look at the official trailer...
We’ve already been promised that the film is drawing inspiration from the “Old Man Logan” storyline from the comic books: an alternative timeline in the future where Wolverine is a retired old man. Based on the trailer, it looks like they are nailing that look completely. The film has a very Mad Max type of vibe, as in this future everything looks desolate. Mutants are no longer around (what happened to them?), and Wolverine has one last fight left in him, to save a young mutant child, most likely X-23 (the Wolverine clone from the comics). In a very Obi-Wan style, it looks like he will look after and train his new “replacement.”

In 2024, mutant births are severely in decline, and people aren’t sure why. A government-type operation is turning mutant children into killing machines. From this, Logan (Hugh Jackman) emerges as a mentor to a mutant girl, who has two claws instead of his three.
The film also stars Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal, and Elizabeth Rodriguez. Logan will also be R-rated and hits theaters March 3, 2017.
