'John Wick' Director Frontrunner For 'Deadpool' Sequel

While certain hopeful delusional  fans continue to maintain hope Quentin Tarantino will direct Deadpool 2 now that Tim Miller has exited the film, the reality is that it will certainly be someone else. Given the first film's creative use of action, the best choice would be someone who can come up with some ingenious ways for the Merc with a Mouth to off his foes. Maybe someone like John Wick co-director, David Leitch?

According to Mashable, Leitch is the frontrunner for the job. Yes, please. Leitch decided against co-directing John Wick 2 in order to work on his solo feature, The Coldest City, but beyond that he also has years of second unit work and experience as an action choreographer. Part of that experience is X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the first appearance of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. Boom.

So we'll see if this goes down but on the surface it's a perfect choice. Keep in mind that 20th Century Fox and Ryan Reynolds are likely mulling a number of options.
