New 'Moana' Clip Has Dwayne Johnson Performing A Lin-Manuel Miranda Tune

Those of us who have been fans of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson since he was Rock Bottoming foes to the tune of "Smackdown Hotel" in the WWE know he can carry a tune. But others may need a little convincing, especially since he'll have a bunch of Lin-Manuel Miranda songs to sing in Disney's animated Moana. Well now with this new clip from the film you can hear just how good Johnson is at this, too, the way he seems to be good at everything.

In this scene, Johnson voices the demigod Maui as he begins singing to Moana (Auli’i Cravalho) about his many heroic accomplishments. Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina came up with the original music and lyrics for the film, and they seem to fit this character just right. The same goes for Johnson's voice, which isn't perfect by any means, but it makes sense for Maui. He's actually selling himself a bit short here.

Moana opens November 23rd. Check out the clip below followed by another that serves as a lead-up to Johnson's performance of "You're Welcome".
