New Trailer For Tom Ford's Thriller 'Nocturnal Animals' With Amy Adams And Jake Gyllenhaal

We're used to Amy Adams being talked about a lot during this time of year, but she's in the thick of the awards season with two movies this time. Not only does she have Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi drama Arrival, which released its final trailer yesterday, but she also has Tom Ford's long-awaited A Single Man follow-up, Nocturnal Animals.

The latest trailer reveals more of the fashion designer's gorgeous direction on the adaptation of Austin Wright's thriller novel. Adams an unhappy Los Angeles artist who suddenly received a manuscript from her ex-husband, a man she hasn't seen in two decades. The story he authored follows a violent attack on a vacationing family, which Adams's character interprets as a veiled threat. But there's more at play here, which Ford captures in a split narrative tracking the real world and that within the manuscript.

Also starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon, Isla Fisher, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Laura Linney, Jena Malone, Andrea Riseborough, and Armie Hammer, Nocturnal Animals gets a limited run on November 18th before going wide on December 9th.
