Trailer For Patricia Highsmith's 'A Kind Of Murder' With Patrick Wilson, Jessica Biel, And Haley Bennett
Adaptations of Patricia Highsmith's novels have a pretty good track record. The Talented Mr. Ripley (not the forgettable sequels), Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers On a Train, and Carol are just a few of her works that have made for excellent movies. Are there a few that maybe weren't so hot? Sure, but hopefully the latest, A Kind of Murder, won't be one of them.
Directed by Andy Goddard (Set Fire to the Stars) and starring Jessica Biel, Patrick Wilson, Vincent Kartheiser, Eddie Marsan, and the busy Haley Bennett, the film centers on an adulterous architect who gets mixed up with a killer and an ambitious detective, all the while obsessing over what it would be like to murder his own wife. The film is based on Highsmith's novel, The Blunderer.
It looks like exactly the kind of twisty, scandalous tale we'd expect from Highsmith, and I can't wait. A Kind of Murder opens December 16th.
