Brad Pitt Takes Command In First Trailer For Netflix's 'War Machine'

Remember War Machine? Not the poor injured Avenger, but the Netflix war movie that teamed up Brad Pitt with Animal Kingdom and The Rover director, David Michod? The streaming service actually acquired it two years ago and filming was completed around the same time, but for various reasons it's taken a while to finally come together. Fortunately, the long wait is nearly over because the first trailer is here and it looks like it might have been worth it.

Pitt is joined by Tilda Swinton, Sir Ben Kingsley, Anthony Michael Hall, Topher Grace, Will Poulter, Lakeith Stanfield, Emory Cohen, John Magaro, RJ Cyler, Alan Ruck, Scoot McNairy and Meg Tilly in the adaptation of journalist Michael Hastings's book, The Operators, which takes a satirical look at the downfall of a four-star general based on  General Stanley McChrystal.

Military comedies are a tough sell, especially one that isn't favorable to those in uniform (remember Buffalo Soldiers?), so it'll be interesting to see how this is received. War Machine hits Netflix on May 26th.
