While it must have been cool to play Drax as part of two Guardians of the Galaxy movies, and then again as part of Avengers: Infinity War, Dave Bautista is ready to play a hero who gets the spotlight to himself. While answering a fan question, Bautista teased his lead role in Eternal Warrior, based on the Valiant Comics character central to their mythology.
Bautista said that he's "really excited" for the part, and they are working hard to get the script "fan-worthy". Since we don't know anything else about the film, including the people involved, we can't really speculate much more than that. What we do know is that Valiant is making power moves into the movie business, with Shadowman, Bloodshot (possibly starring Jared Leto), and Harbinger projects in the works. There's also an Archer & Armstrong film developing with Terry Rossio (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) attached, and it's possible Eternal Warrior fits in with that since he is related to the Armstrong character.
