Tim Burton's live-action Dumbo film for Disney could use a dose of funny, and who better to deliver it than Oscar-winner, Alan Arkin? He joins Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Michael Keaton, and Danny DeVito in the fairy tale remake.
Arkin has worked with Burton before, back when he co-starred in Edward Scissorhands. So he should have a firm grip on whatever Burton's approach to the classic material will be. As for Arkin's role, there aren't a ton of details but he'll be playing a Wall Street tycoon named J. Griffin Remington. Perhaps he tries to buy the beloved floppy-eared elephant?
Dumbo opens March 29th 2019. Arkin was most recently seen in Zach Braff's remake of Going in Style. [Variety]
