'Geostorm' Trailer: Final Trailer For The Weather Channel's Most Anticipated Movie

I don't know who is really sitting around looking forward to Geostorm, the directorial debut by producer and Roland Emmerich enabler Dean Devlin. Well, other than PDC writer G.J. Sokolsky, that is. Dude, it's yours. Have at it. I mean, it looks exactly like one of Emmerich's disaster-ific blockbusters which long ago ran their course. Coupled with a troubled production, which began way back in 2014 remember, expensive reshoots, and a delayed release date, what exactly is there to get excited about? Maybe this final trailer will do the trick?

Eh, probably not, but the international cast is at least interesting. Gerard Butler plays a scientist who must figure out the cause of malfunctioning weather satellites before the unleashed geostorms destroy the planet. Jim Sturgess, Abbie Cornish, Adepero Oduye, Daniel Wu, Alexandra Maria Lara, Ed Harris, and Andy Garcia co-star.

During one of the most deadly hurricane seasons in history are audiences going to want to watch a movie that might hit close to home? I have my doubts, but we'll find out on October 20th.
