When Channing Tatum is forced to do an accent, we all win. I'm still dying to hear his Cajun in that Gambit movie, assuming it ever gets made (it won't). In Kingsman: The Golden Circle we're going to get an entire film of his southern accent, and you can hear him in this new clip, which was actually shown off earlier this year at Comic-Con.
Tatum's an Alabama kid so he actually gets the drawl pretty good. He plays Agent Tequila of the Statesman, the American counterpart to the Kingsman. Basically he's a cowboy stereotype, and he's even got the southern slang down ("That dog don't hunt."), but what's most impressive is how he gets the jump on Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and Merlin (Mark Strong).
Kingsman: The Golden Circle opens September 22nd.
