But Tekken is one of those games that, to me, has no real angle to it. It's not cheesecake like DOA; it's characters aren't iconic like Street Fighter; and it's not overly brutal like Mortal Kombat. It's just sort of...there. So when I heard a movie was coming out based on it, I knew it had no potential to be any good at all. My initial impression of the trailer is mixed. It looks flat out crappy, the setting a dark generic tourney landscape. Based on this, it looks like they will atleast try to focus on the tournament battles, and hopefully spend little time on whatever terrible conspiracy plot we all know is in there somewhere. I did get a kick out of seeing Eddy Gordo, though! Take a look at the trailer, fight fans, and let us know what you think.
