Bruce Willis Teases Unbreakable 2!

I've long said that M. Night Shyamalan's best film isn't The Sixth Sense. It was his follow-up, Unbreakable. Unbreakable was a dark, superhero origin tale starring Bruce Willis as a man who discovers he's impervious to injury and has super strength. Samuel L. Jackson starred as his possible nemesis, his polar opposite known as Mr. Glass because his body is so fragile. The film featured the typical Shymalan twist ending, although in this case it made absolute perfect sense. I count it as one of the top 5 superhero movies ever.

The film was meant to be a trilogy, but after it screeched to a barely $100M haul, consideration of a sequel seemed to die out. There have been rumors, but not much more than that. Until today.

Speaking with MTV, Bruce Willis was asked about the possibility of the sequel ever getting off the ground. He says...

"I talked to [Shyamalan] over the holidays, and he is still thinking about doing the fight movie between me and Sam that we were going to do."

"As long as Sam can make it, I'm up for it," said Willis.

You can't tease me like this! I've been waiting eight years for this sequel to be made. If it happens I'll be one happy camper. Say what you want about Shyamalan's work over the last few years, the guy still knows how to tell a story as evidenced by his early films. I'm trying, and failing, to not get my hopes up.
