Sources are reporting all over that Chris Evans, who most would know as the Human Torch from the 'Fantastic Four' films, has been offered the role of Steve Rodgers aka Captain America. Word is that there's another film Evans has to drop in order to take the role, reportedly a romantic comedy with Anna Faris, but I think the logical choice here is clear go for Cap! I thought I was going to hate the casting for this flick but I really can't argue with Evans, sure he's gotta hit the gym HARD to reach the Stallone like proportions of Cap'n America, but it's not out of the realm of possibility. He's got the All American boy look to him and that's the hardest part to capture. I'll be not quite the first to say this is a step in the right direction to really bringing America's greatest hero to life on the big screen!
