Looks like the script to Wolverine's next film adventure, to take place in Japan, has been completed. Christopher McQuarrie, writer behind The Usual Suspects, has turned in a script that will be based largely on the classic Wolverine limited series from 1982. That story took the Canadian mutant to Japan, where he battles his own feral nature in order to defeat Lord Shingen and win the love of Mariko Yashida. It's the first story to truly establish Wolverine's inner struggle to contain the beast within himself.
Shooting is scheduled to begin in January 2011. No director is attached as of yet. The previous film's director, Gavin Hood, is not involved in this project.
