Danny Trejo signs on to play biker gang leader in Tarantula

We've had a pretty good working relationship with Danny Trejo, so hopefully we'll have a chance to talk to him about his latest flick, Tarantula. The veteran character actor known for his ferocious on-screen persona has seen his stock skyrocket after his performance in Machete. The already busy actor has signed on to play the leader of a biker gang seeking vengeance against a former member(Erin Cummings) who has fled their tight-knit crew in order to start a new life.

Tarantula is being directed by Oley Sassone. That name probably isn't familiar at all, but I'm betting the name Roger Corman is. Sassone has worked frequently with the "King of the B-Movies", having directed Bloodfist 3(starring Don "The Dragon" Wilson!) and the legendarily awful, ill-fated Fantastic Four film which thankfully never saw the inside of a movie theater.

So...yeah. Tarantula is clearly a micro-budgeted flick, and while I'm sure Trejo will bring his usual machismo to the role, having Sassone behind the camera doesn't instill me with a ton of confidence.
