Stan Lee is a chatty Twitterer indeed. The comic book legend is almost always enthusiastically behind any Marvel related projects, whether he's involved with them or not. Ok, he boasts more about the stuff he's personally involved in, which consists mostly of flashing his old mug in various superhero flicks. I think there's a standing order that every Marvel film has to feature a Stan Lee cameo. Too bad he couldn't have been a victim of a vampire attack during the Blade trilogy. That would've been sweet.
Anyway, Lee let a juicy nugget fly yesterday regarding a couple of Marvel films on the horizon. He tweeted...
Big day! Two new superhero movie scripts in the works. I wish movies could be done as fast as comics. With luck, you'll see 'em in 1012!
Lee is pretty old, but I'm pretty sure he meant 2012 and not 1012.
Damn Twitter limits! Lee didn't follow-up with the names of these two projects, but based on what we already know it shouldn't be hard to figure out what they are. We already know that Marvel is looking at producing more flicks using B-list characters at reduced budgets. So going off that, we can probably assume that one of these flicks will be the long talked about Doctor Strange film. Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and even Black Panther are also likely contenders. They all have the chance to be awesome....with the exception of Dr. Strange.
