Trailer Time: The Tourist, starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie

Have Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie ever done a film together before? My mind is drawing a blank, and I'm probably forgetting something major. Regardless, I'm really digging their chemistry in this trailer for The Tourist, directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. Before you go ape dump over homie's name, just realize he's the  guy who directed the brilliant The Lives of Others a couple of years ago. Feel better now?

In The Tourist, Depp stars Frank, a guy who takes a vacay in Italy to get away from a recent broken heart. He soon runs into Elise(Jolie), a mysterious woman who may have engineered the entire meeting. As he tries to win her heart, he gets swept up in the world of intrigue, passion, and violence surrounding her.  Sounds awesome.

It's good to see Depp showing his humorous side without having to play buffoonish characters like Jack Sparrow or Willy Wonka. We don't get to see him play a regular guy nearly often enough. And is it me, or is Jolie really sexy here? I've never really been into her like that, but I would totally endure a few police interrogations for a shot at that. 

The Tourist will be released on December 10th, 2010. Check out the trailer below.
