, and now we've got what appears to be the first official poster for the threequel. What I find most curious about it, other than wondering where exactly this picture was snapped, is the tagline: "Be Afraid of the Dark". Seriously? Is this a horror? Did Michael Bay hand the franchise over to Platinum Dunes and we not get told? But what's cool is that we also get our first look at Shockwave, the Decepticon leader on Cybertron who figures to be a major factor in the film. Ok, so maybe "cool" is the wrong word. Interesting, I guess. In sticking with the established tradition of these flicks, Shockwave doesn't look at all like his toy counterpart with the exception of a singular eye. He actually looks more like an OMAC(that's for DC comics fans) than Shockwave.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon is due to hit theaters on July 1st, 2011.
