Mission: Impossible 4 finally gets an official title

We knew awhile back that they weren't just going to call it Mission: Impossible 4. Why? I don't know. Does a name change really affect anything? Don't we all pretty much know what to expect from a M:I flick regardless of the title? Apparently JJ Abrams and company want us to think they're about to buy a ticket to a Sony Playstation game or something.

At least that's what the title they've settled on sounds like to me. A video game. Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol is the official title. Ok, so it's either a video game or a lame Japanese anime title. Anybody know or care what a "ghost protocol" is? Me neither. Do I care? Computer says "No".

Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol is directed by Brad Bird, and stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Josh Holloway, Michael Nyqvist, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Anil Kapoor. It's due out in theaters December 16th, 2011.
