I love me some Yogi Bear. The cartoon that is. Not so sure about Warner Brother's live-action/CGI flick, featuring Dan Akroyd as the picnic basket stealing bear, and Justin Timberlake voicing his hetero lifemate, Boo-Boo. The first trailer came out a few months ago and it left a lot to be desired, although I still like the way Yogi is animated. He truly looks like a cartoon come to life, so at least I know that won't be a distraction. The awful dialogue("We're gonna break the picnic barrier"!) are another story.
Along with Akroyd and Timberlake, Anna Faris co-stars as Rachel, a documentarian doing a story on Yogi. Tom Cavanaugh is featured as Yogi's constant nemesis, Park ranger Smith.
