IMDB's Top 10 Movies of 2010

No self respecting film geek goes more than a day without hitting up the Internet Movie Database(IMDB) at least once. Maybe it's just to find out that actor's name that's been on the tip of your tongue all day, or it's to find out what a movie like The Back-Up Plan is rated(it's at 4.5 out of 10 right now). All  next week I'll be dropping my Top 10 favorites of the year right here on the site. My Top 10 performances, my top 10 movies, and my 10 worsts. So keep an eye out for those. Or you can tune in to Punch Drunk Critics Live next Sunday night to listen to me and John, along with some of DC's other critics, breakdown our lists and bash eachother's choices.

IMDB is pretty much the be all and end all of movie ratings. Literally hundreds of thousands of people vote on every single movie all the time, so even though some people are idiots and will give Jonah Hex a 10/10, scores like that are generally drowned out. The system works. So let's take a look at what IMDB's many voters thought were the best flicks of 2010...

1. Inception - 9.0 / 10
2. Black Swan- 8.9/10
3. Toy Story 3- 8.7/10
4. The Social Network- 8.2/10
5. How to Train Your Dragon- 8.2/10
6. Tangled- 8.1/10
7. Kick-Ass- 8.0/10
8. Shutter Island- 8.0/10
9. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt. 1- 7.9/10
10. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World- 7.9/10

And if you're interested in checking my personal IMDB vote history, you can do so right here. Always good for a few insults hurled my way.
