* Two new additions to the cast of Spider-Man, one which should surprise absolutely nobody. Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee will be making his usual appearance in a Marvel film as he'll be appearing in Spider-Man. His role isn't clarified but Lee did go on to say that it'll be an action sequence. Watch out for the old guy's bad hip! The bit that is surprising is the addition of C. Thomas Howell to the cast. Yes, Soul Man C. Thomas Howell. No word on his role, either, but it can be assumed he won't be in a role that puts him in the position of undermining and flat out insulting other ethnic groups.
* Colin Farrell, who just recently passed up on David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, is now 100% super-duper confirmed for Len Wiseman's Total Recall remake. And I still say he made a poor decision, at least from a quality standpoint. There's no doubt which movie will make more loot.
* Philip Seymour Hoffman is part of a dazzling cast that has just signed on to Yaron Zilberman's(Watermarks) indie feature, A Late Quartet. He'll be joined by Catherine Keener, Jeremy Northam, and Christopher Walken as members of a world famous string quartet, facing difficulty sticking together on the eve of their 25th anniversary.
