, anyway. THR reports of Barrymore's signing, marking her second directorial effort. The first was 2009's Whip It
, starring Ellen Page and Barrymore herself. Love that movie, and Barrymore showed she has a solid directorial hand, especially with the tough to shoot roller derby scenes.How To Be Single is based on Liz Tuccillo's 2008 novel following the loves and break-ups of a group of friends over the course of 10 years. Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn penned the script. Barrymore is also serving as co-producer.
