Sure Shots: Alec Baldwin jets Men in Black 3; John Hawkes; The Three Stooges

* Maybe they should just ditch the entire time travel premise because it seems to be the part of Men in Black 3 having the most issues. Not only does that portion of the script causing delays due to rewrites, but now Alec Baldwin has dropped out of the film altogether. Vulture reports that scheduling conflicts have caused the actor to pass on his role as the 1960s head of the Men in Black agency.

* I wouldn't have been the least bit upset if John Hawkes had won the Best Supporting Actor award over Christian Bale this year, but it's good to see the well-known character actor getting some national love. He's already got a couple of projects on the way(particularly Steven Soderbergh's Contagion), but now he's also nabbed what could be the lead role in Surrogate, the Ben Lewin directed film about the life of poet Mark O'Brien. Thanks to Variety for that info.

* Just says after reports surfaced that Johnny Knoxville had been offered the role of Moe in The Three Stooges, THR knocks that story down by saying that no offer was officially made, and tha the Jackass star has moved on to other projects. No creme pies to the face for him, I guess. Back to vomit and poop, I guess. Expect casting announcements for The Farrelly Brothers comedy to start popping up in the next few days as shooting is set to begin in April.
