Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for The Smurfs, based on the 1980s animated series. Directed by Raja Gosnell(Scooby-Doo
), the CGI/Live-Action film sees the little blue runts transported to present day New York where...you guessed it, "Smurf happens"! Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Tim Gunn, and Sofia Vergara, play the human characters the Smurfs meet. Hank Azaria gets to don the ugly brown robe of Smurf-nemesis, Gargamel.
Anton Yelchin, Paul Reubens, Katy Perry, Wolfgang Puck, George Lopez, and many more supply the Smurf voices! The Smurfs is due to hit theaters on August 3rd!
