Wedding movies are the new volcano movies which were the new Armageddon movies which were the new dinosaur movies. The lemming-like folks in Hollywood are all drooling over the success of Bridesmaids
and The Hangover 2, and we're already seeing films that sounds like cheap knock offs. There's the Will Ferrell-produced comedy, Bachelorette, on the horizon, and now it looks like Reese Witherspoon will be jumping into the bridal mix as well.Variety reports that Witherspoon is in talks to star in and produce Who Invited Her?, about a woman who insists on tagging along to her fiance's bachelor party. Dreamworks paid a hefty price for the rights to the film, which was pitched by Sascha Rothchild(This American Life
), who will also work on the script. As if they even needed to say it, Variety says that the film is being described as similar to Bridesmaids. >sigh< Let the flood begin.Remember when Witherspoon was the highest paid actress in town?
