I literally just got out of seeing Drive, the latest muscular flick from Nicolas Winding Refn(Bronson, Valhalla Rising). All I'm going to say is "Wow". Amazing energy, and a pulpy vibe that reminded me a little bit of the 1970s car chase flicks and part 1980s crime drama. It's really a superb piece of work, and I can't wait for others to check it out when it hits on September 16th. But in the meantime, here's a brand new poster that I think captures the feel of the film perfectly...
Dig the hot pink cursive lettering, and Ryan Gosling looking like the consummate anti-hero. For those that don't know, Drive has Gosling as a stunt racer who moonlights as a wheelman. When a job goes belly up and people start dying, he must do whatever it takes to clear his name and that of his neighbor(Carey Mulligan) who has unwittingly become involved. Albert Brooks, Ron Perlman, Christina Hendricks, Bryan Cranston, and Oscar Isaac co-star.
