Charlie Sheen to star in Roman Coppola's A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III
Who's down for another dose of tiger blood? Anybody? While Charlie Sheen may have seen his TV gig on Two and a Half Men tumble into the willing arms of Ashton Kutcher(actually a step down), his film prospects don't appear to have dwindled one bit. There's always that Major League sequel we keep hearing about every few months, and now he's set to headline a film that conceivably could catapult him back into Hollywood's good graces.
We heard about Roman Coppola's upcoming film, A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, last year when his sister Sofia dropped a hint about it. The title wasn't revealed until just a few days ago, and now we know that Sheen will be starring, with Jason Schwartzman co-starring. Intrigued? Yes I am.
Coppola will also be scripting, presenting a story that might hit a little close to home for Sheen. The story centers around a successful graphic designer, whose fame, money, and charm make him irresistable to women. His life begins to spiral out of control when his girlfriend breaks up with him. Any chance they can get Bree Olson to star? She can be for Coppola what Sasha Grey was to Steven Soderbergh.
After not appearing on the big screen since 2006, Sheen started easing his way back into the game with two cameos last year, appearing in both Due Date and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. This will be Coppola's first feature film since 2001's CQ.
