Gwyneth Paltrow joins Tim Robbins and Mark Ruffalo in Thanks For Sharing
Is sex addiction a real thing? I think it's just one of those made up ailments to explain away people who just like to bang a lot. Nothing abnormal about that at all. But if somebody's going to make it somehow relatable, the guy who helped redefine the nuclear family as writer of The Kids Are Alright seems like a likely choice. That guy is Stuart Blumberg, who got his first Oscar nomination last year for Lisa Cholodenko's film, and now he's prepping his feature film directing debut with Thanks For Sharing.
The film centers on a group of people who become friends while stuck in a recovery program for sex addicts. We already knew that Mark Ruffalo and Tim Robbins were locked in, and now Variety reports that Gwyneth Paltrow will play a businesswoman who gets involved with Ruffalo's character. I'm guessing knockin' boots will be involved. Joely Richardson(Event Horizon) has also joined the cast as the wife of Robbins' character.
Paltrow will be seen this coming Friday in Steven Soderbergh's viral disaster film, Contagion. Richardson will be a part of David Fincher's adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
