I have to admit I forgot this movie even existed, which should tell you all you need to know about how much of an impression the first trailer made on me. Kindof a shame considering I like virtually everybody involved, and the pairing of Channing Tatum with director Dito Montiel produced quality results a couple of years ago with the street brawling flick, Fighting. Not to mention the two worked together on A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. And yet two trailers in and I continue to feel like The Son of No One is a lousy TV movie with a high class roster.
The film sees Tatum as a cop working the beat in his Queens neighborhood, struggling to provide for his wife and sick daughter. But their life is put in jeopardy when an old secret about an unsolved murder starts to bubble up to the surface. So be prepared for lots of hushed conversations and stearn faces. Hell, that's basically all this new trailer is. Katie Holmes, Juliette Binoche, Tracy Morgan(!!??), Ray Liotta, and a sleep walking Al Pacino co-star.
The Son of No One hits theaters on November 4th, and I desperately hope it's better than what we've been presented so far. Check out the trailer for yourself below...
